Whatever natural hair texture you have, twist braids are a gorgeous alternative to regular braids. Instead of a regular braid which uses three sections of hair, a twist braid uses two sections of hair. The 'twist' part comes in because each section is twisted on its own before it's twisted around the other section. Twists make gorgeous buns, although the hairstyle turns out to be much the same in the design from far, they look very different and exclusive in every particular case. I love this style and I have rocked these looks with different braids severally. Twists are also top favorite technique in black hairstyles, along with box braids. They allow extending your natural hair, attaching anything from quality commercial strands to faux locks.
