IS POSITIVE THINKING THE KEY TO SUCCESS AND SURVIVAL?

Hi Family, how are you?

Hope you are safe and healthy wherever you are in the world despite everything that has been happening in the world. Life sometimes can be numbing, however a grateful heart keeps your thoughts warm enough to last through the cold, and yes some days are better than others but we have to learn to embrace it.

In our world today, we are frequently hit with negativity, negative news, negative events and happenings, calamities, epidemics, negative perspectives from pessimistic and toxic people who are sometimes around us, that it almost seems impossible to continue on with a positive spirit. Instead of getting stuck in the negativity, turn to those habitually optimistic people who have figured out how to see the brighter side of life and remain positive no matter what and in so doing you can learn to do the same.

Positive thinking is more than just a tagline; it is up to you to set the tone. It changes the way we behave, makes us look at situations differently, makes us have hope and in turn when one is positive, it not only makes one better, but it also makes those around us better.

You need to keep yourself and your environment thinking positively because study after study has demonstrated that individuals who believe they are going to succeed are more likely to do just that. But times are tough and setbacks happen and it doesn’t hurt to have a few tips to help you cope and stay positive in the face of hardships.

Recognize that setbacks are inevitable.  It’s not a matter of if you

will experience a setback–it is only a matter of when. So don’t get

down on yourself or throw in the towel when times get tough.

Don’t bottle your disappointment and frustration.

Truth is, it happens always to the best of us, but it is critical that you express your feelings when things go wrong. Don't become shy to ask for help if you become confused. Talk to a friend or family member, outside of your circle or in your circle, who can listen and provide support. Remember your mental health is so important. Sometimes talking to someone is all we need to heal our hearts and get back our energy.

Acknowledge  that failure represents an opportunity to learn a valuable lesson. Failure isn’t fun, but it is valuable. Numerous people, in business, Leadership, politics, sports, relationships and other walks of life, have experienced breakthroughs as a result of failure. Don’t let setbacks bring you down, instead, focus on learning a lesson and make sure you don’t repeat the same mistake.

Remember that positive thinking is the key to success, and don’t let the occasional hindrance keep you from achieving your dreams! I leave you with this beautiful saying “Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so let us all be thankful.” — Buddha.

Hope to see you on the next one.
